Beyond racing cars or performance, the real passion of the recently deceased Paul Walker was another: the surf.
"The surfing reassure me. It has always been a sort of zen experience for me. The ocean is so magnificent, quiet and impressive. The rest of the world disappears for me when I am in a wave", confessed once the exprotagonista of"Fast and furious".
This led him to study the degree of marine biology, which left little time for a more relaxed life, and because the world of acting knocked at his door.
A former artistic representative sought him out to invite him to an audition for the role of a surfer in "Touched by an angel" TV series ("Touched by Angel").
"I realized that acting was a great trade to earn money and be able to continue surfing without having to assume any responsibility," Walker said in an interview.
Papers falling into the hands of Walker were increasingly large: he played a football in "Varsity Blues" Star, participated in a film of adolescent love, "She completo All That" and "The Skulls", produced by Neal Moritz and directed by Robert Cohen.
It was Cohen who said he remembered a young Steve McQueen and recommended him to take acting more seriously.
When Moritz and Cohen were raised a new film about the scene of street racing in Southern California, they thought in Walker.
"They told me I could do police, driving fast, going out with a beautiful protagonist cars and that I would also pay," said Walker. "It was the fantasy of any young made reality."
